Is it Worth Spending Extra for Faster DDR5 RAM?

I'm considering buying a DDR5 6000 32GB RAM kit and noticed there's a $50 price difference between the CL36 and CL30 versions. Is the extra speed worth it, or will I not see much difference in real-world performance?

If you're using an X3D chip, the RAM speed and timings matter a lot less. If your budget allows for CL36 without stretching it too much, I’d say just stick with that. But if you want an ultra-maxed out build and budget isn't a concern, go ahead and pick CL30.

I just got a 7600X3D CPU, so saving that $50 for something else seems like the way to go!

The speed for both is 6000MT/s, and CL36 and CL30 are just timings. Generally, the difference in CAS latency is unlikely to make a noticeable impact on your day-to-day use, especially if you're not pushing your system to the limit.

Honestly, for an extra $50, it's probably not worth it. The difference in performance is minimal for most users—especially if you're on an X3D chip. Save that cash for another upgrade!”},{
