Can I Use Intel XMP RAM with My Ryzen Build?

Hey everyone! I'm building a new PC aimed at video editing and gaming, and I've settled on a Ryzen 9950x. Recently, I picked up some Corsair Vengeance RAM (DDR5, 2x32GB, 6000, CL30) during a Black Friday sale because I got a good deal. However, I just noticed it says it's Intel XMP ready on the box. I haven't bought my CPU and motherboard yet, and I'm wondering if this RAM will still work with my AMD setup, or if it's too risky to keep it. I'd prefer not to switch to Intel as I've had great experiences with AMD. Plus, I already got a 5080 GPU, if that matters. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

No worries, the RAM should work just fine with your setup! If you can, try testing it first to ensure it’s compatible, especially since you can return it if needed.

You should be good! AMD CPUs can utilize Intel XMP profiles without any issues, while Intel can't use AMD's EXPO profiles. It's a little odd, but you'll be fine!

RAM isn’t limited to a specific brand, so you can use DDR5 in any DDR5 setup. With the Ryzen 9000 series, hitting 6000MHz is pretty achievable. Just keep in mind that enabling XMP or EXPO might not always guarantee stability, but chances are high that it’ll work for you!

Yep, it'll be fine! I've used similar RAM configurations without any issues.

It'll work perfectly. I have Corsair Vengeance RAM with an AMD build, and it performed great, even though it was labeled XMP.
