I'm planning to upgrade from my RTX 2060 to a 5070 Ti. The catch is, I need a new CPU too since I currently have a Ryzen 5 3600X. I'm considering two options: Option 1 is to get a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which fits my motherboard and would work with the new GPU. Option 2 is to build an entirely new setup with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, DDR5 RAM, and a new motherboard. Option 2 is pricier, but I want this build to last instead of needing to upgrade again in a few years. I'm leaning toward the full build but looking for advice or alternatives.

I have a 5700X3D paired with a 5070 Ti for 1440p gaming with no bottlenecks. I'd suggest avoiding the 5800X3D because of its inflated prices; it's just not worth the risk right now. If you're on a tight budget, go for the 5700X3D. If you can afford it, consider the full AM5 build—it’s a solid long-term investment!
The 5800X3D is a solid choice for gaming on the AM4 platform. If budget isn't an issue, I'd recommend going for an AM5 build. The 5800X3D can get pricey, and depending on current market rates, it might not be worth it compared to a new build.
I hear you! But I would advise against spending too much on a 5800X3D now, especially with DDR5 prices being sky-high. If you're on a budget, a 5700X3D could be a decent compromise.
Why do you feel the need to upgrade your CPU right away? You could buy the 5070 Ti now and test it out for a week. If you feel bottlenecked (which is unlikely at 1440p or higher), then switching to a 5700X3D or 5800X3D later would be a simple solution, and it wouldn't prevent you from doing a full rebuild later on.

Sounds great! I'd love to hear how that combo runs in AAA games if you mostly play those.
