I'm having a really frustrating time trying to install Linux on my MacBook Pro from 2012. I've run into all sorts of issues, especially with getting rEFInd set up and getting my USB stick to recognize the ISO. Can anyone share their experience or give me some guidance on how to go about this? Thanks!

I installed Linux on my 2012 MacBook Pro last year, and it was quite an adventure! I can help you out, but I'll need a bit more detail on your situation. What distribution are you aiming for? What problems are you facing with the USB stick? Let me know, and I can guide you through it!

The USB stick is the main hang-up for me; it never recognizes the boot drive. I have Ubuntu on there, and I think I need to tackle refInd next, which has been a process in itself. Planning to give it another shot tomorrow.
