Why Did I Get Double Charged for My AirPod Replacement?

Asked By CuriousCat99 On

I recently lost my left AirPod and ordered a replacement from Apple's website. However, I noticed a new pending purchase that's the same total as my original order, which makes it look like I'm being charged twice. Is this a normal occurrence for Apple, or should I reach out to support for help? Thanks!

A pending charge isn't the same as an actual charge. It usually goes away once the order is fully processed, so don’t worry too much about it right now.

Pending charges can definitely be confusing! Make sure you confirm if only one service shows in your repair history. If you're still seeing multiple charges later, it might be a good idea to contact support. How does your repair history look?

It’s common for banks to show both the authorization and the actual charge when a purchase is made. If the second charge is marked as pending, it should clear up soon when the order is finalized.
