I'm pretty new to the computer scene and I've just built my own desktop. I'm curious about overclocking my GPU and CPU, specifically if I should use MSI Afterburner for my Gigabyte graphics card. Do I need any other software or tools? And, to be honest, is overclocking even necessary? Any insights or tips would be great!

If your components are relatively new, you probably don't need to overclock at all. Modern CPUs and GPUs are designed to manage their performance automatically. They boost themselves based on thermal conditions, so unless you're pushing them really hard and they start overheating, you might not see much benefit from overclocking. I've been building PCs for over 20 years and my current setup has zero overclocking—it's just not worth the hassle for the gains these days. Just enjoy your games!

Thanks for the advice! I definitely don’t want to risk damaging my computer.
