Help! My ASUS Laptop Keeps Crashing Right After Warranty Expired

I need some advice on my ASUS ROG STRIX G713RC laptop that's been crashing randomly ever since the warranty expired about two months ago. I get various blue screen errors on Windows, like KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and HYPERVISOR_ERROR, and even kernel panics on Linux. I've already updated all the drivers, run memory tests (which passed), and checked the cooling system, but the crashes are intermittent; sometimes it runs fine for days, and other times it crashes right on boot. What could be causing this? Is it possible I'm dealing with early hardware failure, or is there something else I can try to stabilize it?

It seems like your laptop might be facing hardware issues given the pattern of crashes. I would also suggest taking a look at your CPU temperatures, especially since you mentioned they hover between 60-95°C which seems pretty high for idle. This raises a red flag about potential thermal issues. If you haven’t already, check to make sure that the cooling system is functioning properly and that there's no dust accumulation in the vents. Sometimes, the internal fans can be faulty too, and since you had to replace the CPU fan recently, that could definitely contribute to overheating.

Since you're getting different BSODs on both Windows and Linux, it’s likely not a software issue. From experience, inconsistent crash codes usually indicate hardware problems like an unstable motherboard or bad RAM slots. The fact that your laptop crashes mostly during cold boots but runs fine under load suggests that the motherboard might be on its way out. You did the right things by updating drivers and checking thermals. Here’s what you can do next:

- Run AIDA64 or Prime95 for 30-60 minutes to see if it stays stable when warmed up.
- Also, try the Windows Memory Diagnostic to check your RAM.

If you're up for it, sharing a minidump file or using something like "BluescreenView" can help pin down the issue further.
