I noticed an unidentified device showing up on my Find My app. To give you some context, I only use a MacBook Air M1 and a Galaxy S23 with my Google account. I also have a TV linked to this account. I've got multiple email accounts, including one Google, Outlook, Hotmail, and iCloud, each with unique passwords that I change frequently. However, my Find My app shows a Galaxy S21 Ultra that signed in on October 1st. I can't seem to remove it; even though I've taken it off my Google account, the device is still visible and it states that it will be factory reset when it comes online. It hasn't shown any signs of activity since that day. I'm really concerned about the security of my important work emails, but nothing bad has happened yet. Could this be a glitch? I've never owned a Galaxy S21 Ultra. Is there a reason to panic?

Don’t worry too much, this is actually more common than you think with Google’s Find My Device. It’s likely just a ghost device — a leftover entry from a previous connection that you’ve already removed. Since the Galaxy S21 Ultra hasn’t been online since October 1st, it’s not actively linked to your account or tracking you. Sometimes, Google holds onto these old records, showing devices that don’t even exist in your account anymore. If you check for any unusual activity—like login alerts or password reset emails—and you haven’t seen any, your account is probably safe.
If you want to tidy things up, go to Google > Security > Your Devices. You can sign out of or remove the S21 Ultra there. Changing your password and enabling 2-step verification would also give you peace of mind. It’s most likely just a quirk with Google, and you’re not being tracked!

I really hope that’s right! I’ve never owned an S21 Ultra either, and it just freaks me out. I’ve had zero login alerts, and this device doesn’t even show a location, just a name. Thank you for reassuring me!
