I'm looking to upgrade from my RTX 3060 because it's having a hard time keeping up after I switched from a 1080p to a 1440p monitor. The RTX 3060 only needs a single 6+2 PCIe power connector, but my PSU has two of those connectors available. The issue is that the Gaming OC version of the RTX 5070 Ti comes with a 12V-2x6 to 3x PCIe 8-pin adapter, which won't work with my setup. I noticed that the cheaper Windforce OC SFF version includes a 12V-2x6 to 2x PCIe 8-pin adapter instead. Would it be okay if I bought a third-party 12V-2x6 to 2x PCIe 8-pin adapter or cable to use with the Gaming OC version? If so, can anyone recommend some reliable options?

What power supply do you have? If it only features two PCI-E 6+2 connectors, that could be a limit depending on the design. You should check if it's built to handle a more powerful card.

I have a Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 650W Gold. I know the recommended wattage for the card is 750W, but my Ryzen 5 2600 only uses about 65W and I don't have any HDDs, just SSDs, plus minimal lighting. From what I've read, it should be fine. The 750W model also only has two PCIe connectors, only the 850W version has three. It still has 5 years left on its warranty, and I’ve had no issues.
