I recently picked up a 2-in-1 Windows tablet with 4GB of RAM and a dual-core 1.1GHz processor. My main goal is to use it as a portable web browser and media player—not expecting top-tier performance for the £40 I spent! While I'm currently using elementary OS on my main machine, I'm considering installing Endevouros or Manjaro on this tablet. I'm looking for suggestions on which desktop environment would make the best use of this limited hardware while also being touch-friendly.

You might want to consider a lightweight distro like MX Linux. It tends to perform well on lower-end hardware and should handle your needs just fine. Just make sure to look up if other users with the same tablet have had success with it!

I think distro choice matters less; it's more about how well your particular tablet model supports Linux!
