I'm considering building a gaming PC specifically for games like Tarkov and Rust, which are quite demanding on the CPU but don't require an overly powerful GPU. I'm trying to decide between the 9800X3D with a 5060 Ti or the more balanced 7800X3D with a 5070. I know the 5060 Ti isn't the strongest GPU, but I'm curious if having a weaker CPU with a better GPU would be more beneficial, or if it's better to stick with the stronger CPU and a less powerful GPU.

I personally think going with the 9600X and pairing it with a 5070 Ti would be a solid choice. For gaming, if you’re not pushing for 240+ FPS, having a high-end CPU doesn’t entirely pay off without a strong GPU or monitor to match.

That combo isn’t bad for sure! Unity games really do benefit from those 3D chip CPUs, and I’m more into games that aren't too graphics-heavy, so this setup should fit well.
