I'm a newcomer to Linux and I'm thinking about switching entirely, but I've hit a snag. I want to make my Windows-exclusive mouse software work on Arch or CachyOS. I've already tried installing it with Wine, but it doesn't recognize my mouse. The main thing I need is to check my mouse's battery level, but since it's a 2.4GHz connection and not Bluetooth, I can't see it in the settings. Are there any alternatives I can explore to solve this problem? I'm eager to learn how to get around this issue for the future. Thanks!

Unfortunately, there’s no direct way to run Windows-only software on Arch Linux. However, you can check out alternatives like Solaar and Piper. They're designed for managing wireless devices and might help you with battery monitoring.
If your mouse has onboard memory, you could try saving the settings directly onto it. But if Solaar and Piper don’t work for you, it might be challenging to track the battery level any other way.
All my settings are saved in memory, but I mainly need the battery info.

I'll try those out! Thanks for the suggestion!
