I'm looking to upgrade my beginner pre-built PC and need some advice before diving in. Currently, my setup includes a Gigabyte B365 HD3 motherboard, an Intel i5 9400F CPU, and a GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. I'm considering upgrading to an Intel i9 9900K CPU and an RTX 3080 10GB graphics card. I would like to keep my existing motherboard if possible, and my power supply is an NZXT C850 (850W). My budget is under $1000. Is this a solid upgrade, or would it be better to consider different CPU or GPU options?

It seems like you're a bit behind the curve here. Unless you can snag a used or refurbished RTX 3080, you might want to look at newer options, like a 50xx series or even a 9060XT/9070XT if you're considering AMD. As for the CPU, the i9 9900K is pretty dated now, and it's likely hard to find in stock without going this route too. Just something to keep in mind!

I did see the i9 on Amazon as refurbished! But for GPUs, which specific 50xx would you suggest?
