I recently upgraded to Windows 11 because my new motherboard wouldn't let me use its Wi-Fi without it. Initially, everything was working fine, but after about a day, my computer started running slowly. I can't even play Counter-Strike without experiencing severe lag on the menu screen and slow start-up times. Games that normally run at 150+ FPS drop to just 7-14 FPS. Even Netflix lags and the screen occasionally turns black. A restart temporarily fixes it, but the issue returns as the day goes on. I've checked that all my drivers are updated. My setup includes an RTX 3070, a Ryzen 9 9900X, 32 GB of DDR5 Corsair Vengeance RAM, and a Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus NVMe. When my PC is idle, it's only using about 37% memory and 6% CPU, so I'm not sure what's causing the slowdown.

Did you perform an upgrade or a clean install of Windows 11? Upgrading can sometimes cause problems; I haven’t trusted upgrades since Windows 95. A fresh installation might solve these issues for you.
Have you checked the temperatures of your CPU and GPU? Overheating can cause performance drops, especially during gaming. Monitoring them might give you a clue if that’s the reason behind the lag.
