I'm building a PC using PC Part Picker and I planned to use my Intel Core i7-4770 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor because it has Quick Sync, which I need. However, I also have some spare DDR4 OLOy RAM sticks (16GB total, 2x8GB), and I noticed that PC Part Picker claims they aren't compatible. Is this a mistake, or is there a real issue? I can't find any info suggesting Intel CPUs have restrictions against specific RAM types.

The i7-4770 actually requires DDR3 RAM, not DDR4. It might be confusing, but the older Intel CPUs, like the 4770, just aren’t compatible with DDR4. You’ll have to stick with DDR3 for that processor.
