I'm trying to figure out how to make the extra buttons on my mouse functional. I've heard I might need to connect them to keyboard bindings, but I'm not really sure how to go about it. For reference, I'm using Linux Mint Cinnamon. Any tips would be appreciated!

Getting those extra buttons to work really depends on the type of mouse you have. I'd suggest looking up some specific guides for your model. In terms of software, I've had good experiences with a couple of options:

- For Razer mice, check out OpenRazer.
- For Logitech, Solaar is a great tool.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you could try xbindkeys, though it’s a bit more complex.

I've used Solaar for my Logitech mouse, but it's not nearly as powerful as the Windows drivers. It's kinda frustrating!

I’ve got a Razer mouse with 12 buttons, and I use Input Remapper for it. It’s a solid tool for customizing all those extra features!

Oh man, I totally forgot about Input Remapper! I don’t need it right now, but it’s really handy!

What model is your mouse by the way? Knowing that could help others give more specific advice!
