I'm looking for a web hosting service capable of hosting at least three websites, with the need for ten email accounts per website. I found a plan from a provider called Big Rock that looks appealing, but I'm unsure whether to choose Linux or Windows hosting. I'd appreciate any insights or experiences, particularly if you've had any issues with Big Rock.

Just to clarify, 'Windows hosting' is just a setup on a Windows server. It's commonly used for applications developed in the Microsoft environment, like ASP.NET. Some big platforms even run on it!

I'd definitely recommend going with Linux. It's way more common for web hosting, and there's really no need to pay for a Windows license unless you have a specific requirement. Given your needs, shared hosting on Linux will likely serve you well since your websites are static and uncomplicated.

Static sites can be hosted almost anywhere, so the choice of Linux or Windows isn't a big deal unless you need server-side stuff. If you can pick, I'd say go with Linux. Just my two cents! Alternatively, consider platforms like Cloudflare or Netlify for a straightforward setup.

For purely static content like HTML, CSS, and JS, why not consider GitHub Pages or Cloudflare Pages? They are great options for hosting static websites!
