Will My DDR5 RAM Cause a Bottleneck in My Gaming PC?

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of upgrading my PC from the old AM4 platform to AM5, but with memory prices skyrocketing, I'm feeling a bit uncertain. I stumbled upon a deal for Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 memory—5600MT/s with CL36 timing for €320, which seems like a good price considering the market. I'm curious if this memory is a solid choice for my setup or if it might be a bottleneck. I'm planning to game at 1440p, and sometimes at 1080p with high refresh rates in games like CS2 or Valorant. I'll be using a Ryzen 9800x3D and a GeForce 5070ti. I know CL30 at 6000Mhz would be better, but does the big cache on the Ryzen mitigate any potential latency issues with the RAM? Will I notice a significant drop in FPS compared to higher specs?

Honestly, this RAM sounds good for your needs! 64GB is probably more than necessary, but with prices like that for 32GB, it seems like a steal. I'd go for it without hesitation!

Worst case, you're looking at a 1-2% performance drop, but it's more likely to be around 0.5% or less during gaming. You'll hardly notice it outside of benchmarks, so don't sweat it. If you can snag CL30 for just 10-20 euros more, that might be worth it, but anything beyond that isn't really necessary.

The X3D CPUs are much less sensitive to RAM speeds and latency because of the extra L3 cache. You should be fine; the difference in actual gaming won't be that big.

Why are you going for 64GB? For gaming, I think a faster 2x16GB kit would be better.

I saw that 32GB was priced over €400, and the 64GB kit was cheaper. Just trying to save a buck!
