Hey everyone! I'm building a new gaming and work PC and need some advice. I'm considering two GPUs: the Zotac 5070 Ti and the standard 5070. Prices are a bit different here since I don't live in the US. The 5070 Ti would cost around $1000, but most of the models are out of stock or overpriced. For example, the ASUS TUF 5070 Ti is going for $1100, and some high-end models like the Galax HOF are nearly $1300. The regular 5070, on the other hand, is priced between $625-$700.
Right now, I'm on a 60Hz FHD monitor, but I'm planning to upgrade to a 2K monitor soon. I mainly play competitive FPS games like Overwatch and Apex Legends, but I'm also looking forward to diving into AAA titles like Cyberpunk and Elden Ring with this new setup. I want to make a wise investment, especially since it's my first upgrade in seven years. Any thoughts on whether the 5070 Ti is worth the extra cash for my use case? I've also considered the AMD 9070 XT, but I've heard it might not be the best fit for my work software, which leans towards NVIDIA.

I’d go for the 5070, honestly. The extra VRAM with the 5070 Ti is nice, but for 1080p and even 1440p gaming, 12GB should still hold up fine as long as you’re not maxing out every setting. The price difference is just not justifiable if you're primarily gaming at those resolutions!
Totally get where you’re coming from. If you find the right deal and it performs well for the games you're into, I say go for it. Upgrading again in a few years isn't a bad plan either!
Honestly, spending an extra €400 on the 5070 Ti seems a bit excessive. If it’s a tough choice for work with software compatibility, then definitely stick with the 5070. You might even want to consider the 9070 XT if you can make it work; the price seems right!
I hear you on the 9070 XT. I’ve been thinking about it too. The performance is great for the price in my area, but I’m worried about software compatibility with programs like Blender. Not sure it’s worth the risk.

Thanks for the insight! Do you really think the 5070 will last a couple of years for 1080p or 2K gaming? It’s tough to let go of the 1070 Ti after all these years, but the prices have me leaning towards the more economical option.
