I'm looking to upgrade my AM4 PC since RAM prices have derailed my AM5 plans. I've already got 32GB of RAM and my current GPU is an RX 6700 XT, so I'm focusing on the CPU. I'm having a tough time finding a Ryzen 5800X3D, though I might consider the 5700X3D. I've heard that the 5950X is tempting, but I've read it won't game as well as the 5800X3D. Can anyone share how much better the 5800X3D would be compared to my current 5600? Also, where's the best place to look for a 5800X3D?

You're right, they are quite scarce since production stopped. A 5700X3D or 5800X3D would definitely be a solid upgrade, but finding them can be tricky. The 5950X is decent but won’t give you a huge gaming boost since its extra cores tend to hit diminishing returns in most games.
I managed to snag a 5700X3D for $230 yesterday, it was a rare find! There’s a noticeable improvement from the 5600, especially if you're gaming at 1080p. Definitely worth considering!
You can find them on Amazon as well, but just be warned, the prices can be nuts! I saw one going for over $1,100, which is way above MSRP.
If you're looking for one, eBay is always a potential goldmine for finding rare CPUs like the 5800X3D. Just keep an eye on prices, they fluctuate a lot!
I’ve actually spotted quite a few Ryzen 5800X3Ds on the used market lately. You might have some luck checking out various listings, both in full builds and separately.
The production of the Ryzen 5800X3D ended over a year ago, and the 5700X3D production wrapped up just a few months back, so they're pretty hard to come by now. Good luck finding one!

Yikes! That’s insane for a CPU, definitely not worth that unless you're really desperate.
