Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a jam after switching my setup from Intel to AMD. I installed a new MSI Pro B650-A WiFi motherboard, DDR5 CL30 32GB Kingston RAM, and added a 2TB NVMe drive. However, I can't get it to post at all. All the lights and power seem fine, but I noticed that DDR5 requires memory training. The first attempt went on for over an hour, and no progress was made. The motherboard's LED indicators show a red light for the CPU and a yellow one for the DRAM, which is really concerning. I've reseated the CPU, RAM, and GPU multiple times and even tried removing the CMOS battery, but that thing is stuck. Just for reference, my CPU is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried updating the BIOS? Sometimes, the motherboard may not fully support newer CPUs without the latest firmware. Try using the BIOS flash button with a USB drive and refer to your motherboard manual for the procedure; it’s usually straightforward!
It might be a bad CPU. I went through similar problems a while back, and it turned out to be the CPU causing the issue. If the new motherboard doesn't work with the new CPU, you might need to consider swapping it out. Good luck!

That’s a solid point. I've got another board arriving tomorrow as a backup. If the new one fails too, I guess I'll have to accept the CPU might be the culprit.
