Comparing Asus ROG Thor 3 1200W and Thermaltake GF A3 SNOW 1050W for 9070XT

I'm trying to decide between the Asus ROG Thor 3 1200W power supply and the Thermaltake GF A3 SNOW 1050W for my setup featuring the XFX Merc 310 9070 XT. The Asus is definitely more expensive, while the Thermaltake is on the cheaper side. I want to make sure I'm not compromising quality for my high-end GPU, especially since the Asus looks really sleek, too. What do you think?

Honestly, I've been running my setup with an 850W PSU without any issues. I think even a 750W would do just fine if you don’t plan to overclock much. So, don't stress too much about it!

But remember, the transient draw on this card can hit 450W, and if you overclock even slightly, you're looking at 500+ watts. Just a heads-up!

You might want to check out the PSU Tier List from SPL before you decide on either. The 9070XT, especially overclocked, can draw up to around 600 watts with transient peaks, so I recommend going for a solid 1000W unit or higher. For example, I'm running an Asrock SL-1000G for my 9800X3D and 9070XT, and it has a B+ rating. Better safe than sorry!

Yeah, the Asus is rated A and the Thermaltake is more of a B- (borderline unreliable). I think the Asus is definitely the better choice since it's a 1200W Platinum.
