Setting Up SAN Mirroring for Redundancy in Windows Datacenter

I'm managing a remote site with multiple Windows Datacenters linked to a Dell SAN. Recently, we experienced corruption issues with the SAN, which forced us to rebuild a Domain Controller stored on it. Dell reviewed the logs and confirmed that the SAN is healthy, but we do have a second SAN from HP. I'm interested in configuring it to mirror the Dell SAN as a fail-safe. How do I go about doing this through Datacenter? I'm concerned about having all VMs rely on the same SAN due to the potential risk of a single point of failure. I want to advocate for this change once I understand the necessary adjustments and any additional storage requirements.

It's crucial to verify your backups first! Also, check if your backup software can manage replication between the two SANs. Solutions like Veeam or Rubrik might be worth looking into for this. And don't forget to assess your switching infrastructure too - you definitely want to avoid any single points of failure there as well!

We actually use Veeam for backups, so that could work out!

First off, definitely check your iSCSI switch capacity to ensure it can handle your setup. From what I've seen, as long as that’s sorted, you should be good to go! Mirroring across SANs can really bolster redundancy.
