I recently switched from the legacy free plan to the new free plan on Netlify, but I've already hit the 300/300 credit limit in just two days. My sites aren't even active right now, just a few users visiting for around 2 minutes each, and I haven't started any marketing yet. Now, all my projects are paused, and I'm really confused by this! Has anyone else experienced this? Also, what are some good alternatives to Netlify? I loved the old plan because it was so generous, but this new system feels really restrictive.

What about Render? They have some decent offerings as well and could be a good alternative.
Yeah, the new credit system on Netlify has been quite surprising! 😅 I came across a breakdown on Uneven Lab’s blog that mentioned a lot of people hitting that 300-credit ceiling quickly, even with minimal traffic. It seems to be more about build minutes and background functions eating up credits rather than actual visitor numbers. If your sites rebuild frequently or you’re using serverless features, those credits can go fast. If I were you, I’d consider alternatives like Vercel or Cloudflare Pages; they’re generally more forgiving for smaller projects!
How many sites are you running? And how often did you deploy? Your situation seems a bit inconsistent with how that credit system works.
I stopped using Netlify after they unexpectedly terminated my site right before a demo for my startup, and there was zero communication from them. That experience really soured me on their service.
Netlify is pretty overpriced if you ask me. You might want to look into getting a VPS. With a VPS, you get full access to resources for a consistent monthly price, and it usually ends up being a lot cheaper than what Netlify charges for bandwidth.
