Will a Ryzen 5 3600 Work Well with an RX 9070 XT?

Hey everyone! I'm new here and could use some advice. A few months back, I was gifted some old PC parts from a friend, which included a B350 Prime Plus motherboard, 32GB of DDR4 2400 MHz RAM, and a GTX 1080. I hadn't had a PC in years and was thrilled to get my hands on these parts. To complete the build, I picked up an ATX case and a 1000W power supply to future-proof my setup. I went with a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU since it was affordable.

While I had plans to upgrade the components next year, the current prices for RAM and other parts have me thinking of sticking with my setup for a while. However, I'm keen on getting a GPU at a good price, and the RX 9070 XT seems like a solid choice based on my research in the EU market. My main concern is whether this GPU will work well with my Ryzen 5 3600. I've heard about potential bottlenecking issues with CPU and GPU combos, including drops and freezes. I'm primarily playing non-AAA games at 1440p, and I really want to know how others have fared pairing newer GPUs like the 9070 XT or even an RTX 5070 TI with lower-end CPUs. If anyone has experience with this setup, I'd love to hear about it! Also, I've struggled to find any benchmarks on YouTube comparing the Ryzen 3600 with the RX 9070 XT.

Your setup should work fine! There will be times when the CPU bottlenecks the GPU, but it shouldn't ruin your experience. Just crank the graphics settings, and most games should run smoothly. Enjoy!

I get your concerns about bottlenecking. The system might be a bit unstable at times, but it's likely not going to be a huge issue unless you're pushing the limits of the GPU.
