My Second Monitor Isn’t Turning On After Cleaning, Help!

I have a problem with my second display. It refuses to turn on despite my PC detecting it. I unplugged it for a clean today, and now it won't work at all. My primary monitor is an MSI G274F running at 180Hz and it's connected via DisplayPort to the GPU. The second monitor is also an MSI, but I can't recall the exact model, and it's connected via HDMI to DisplayPort on the GPU. I've already tried a few solutions I found on Reddit, like turning off G-Sync, but nothing seems to help. I'm starting to wonder if the HDMI to DisplayPort connection could be the culprit.

First off, make sure the display settings in Windows are set properly. Did you extend or mirror your displays? Sometimes that can mess things up. Also, since it was working before you cleaned it, it might be worth double-checking the connections to ensure everything is plugged in securely. If you’ve plugged the HDMI into a DP adapter, that could also cause issues – some adapters are a bit finicky! Good luck!

I had a similar issue and found that changing the display mode back and forth helped a lot. Maybe try switching to duplicate display, set the refresh rate to max for a moment, then back to extended?
