Is the Montech Century II PSU a Reliable Choice?

I'm on the hunt for a new power supply unit (PSU) and came across the Montech Century II at a really good price. However, I've noticed a few reviews mentioning that some units fried after just two months of use. I'm looking specifically for an 850W PSU and would love any recommendations or thoughts on this model.

Honestly, there have been a lot of recent complaints about units being dead on arrival or failing early. If you're open to alternatives, check out the MSI MPG A850GS. It's currently cheaper and has great reviews. Definitely worth considering!

I'd steer clear of low-quality PSUs. They can be real trouble! If you can, try to invest in something like the Montech, which seems like a decent option, but always prioritize quality.

Trying my best to avoid cheap options! Montech looks solid, though. I tracked its ratings and it does really well.

I wouldn't worry too much about those bad reviews. A lot of the feedback you see tends to be from users who only share their negative experiences. Many people have had good luck with it.

Makes sense, thanks for the insight!

I've heard good things about the Montech too! I just bought one myself, but I haven't built my PC yet, so I can't share any firsthand experience. It has solid ratings and came highly recommended from friends.
