I recently bought a GTX 1650 from someone on Facebook Marketplace to upgrade a used Lenovo ThinkCenter M920t that has just a 250W power supply. I thought this card would work without needing extra power, but I found out too late that it still requires a 6-pin power connection. Now, I'm stuck with three options: find a different graphics card, get a new power supply, or somehow connect the power supply to the card since mine doesn't have spare cables. What do you think is the cheapest way to get this sorted so my niece won't have to use my outdated computer?

That's odd; the GTX 1650 (non-Super version) typically doesn't need an extra power connection. Do you know the specific model and manufacturer of the card you got?
If you're thinking about connecting the PSU wires directly, go for it if you know what you're doing! Just make sure you take the necessary safety precautions.
Good luck, mate! It could be tricky, but I believe in you.
Honestly, instead of trying to get creative with the power supply, I recommend just getting a new modular PSU. They're pretty affordable—especially if you just need something around 250W—usually under $50. Just make sure you know how to replace it!
Just a heads up, you'll need to adapt it to the Lenovo's 10-pin connector, or get a 400W PSU that's compatible.
Yeah, the 10-pin connector is a must for the motherboard. Lenovo tends to use proprietary power supplies.

The manufacturer is PNY. I found a similar model on their site that does need power, so it fits. :/
