I've been hearing from our team that some users are experiencing issues with Zoom on their Windows computers where the app just uninstalls itself. Interestingly, I've had this happen to me as well. I've checked our security system for alerts, and everything seems normal. I've also disabled the patch management service, but it still uninstalled itself a few days later. I even looked through the Event Log for any clues, but nothing unusual stands out. Right now, I'm testing by disabling the update check to see if that helps, but there's been no word from Zoom on this. Has anyone else dealt with this? What else should I be looking into?

Sounds like a classic case of auto-updates causing trouble. Have you checked if they're enabled? That might be the culprit if the updater is conflicting with permissions or something.
You might have something kicking it off. Check your Group Policy Objects (GPO) for anything that might be removing it. That could be a key factor.
From my experience, it can help to install Zoom via the MSI for a machine-wide setup and let your patching solution handle updates instead of relying on user profiles. It could reduce these issues you’re facing.

That makes sense! We don’t have many users, so I'm evaluating if going with a machine-wide install would be better. The user-profile install seems too prone to issues.
