A while back, I got my hands on a Corsair Commander Pro, and I didn't realize just how awesome it was until later. One of its standout features was the ability to control fan speeds independently on each channel. However, I haven't seen many modern products that offer the same capability. Do any current fan controllers exist that allow per-channel PWM control, similar to the Commander Pro?

Corsair still makes their iCue hubs that allow PWM control per fan, but you have to use their iCue software, which I find pretty clunky. I prefer just using the motherboard to control them and daisy chain the fans instead of dealing with proprietary stuff.
You could check out options like the Phanteks and NZXT fan controllers; they have software-controlled PWM fans. Just a heads-up, I personally prefer not to be tied to specific software ecosystems, but I get that it works for a lot of folks.
There's a clear distinction between fan hubs and fan controllers. The Commander Pro is a fan controller, while many hubs just apply the same speed across all fans. If you're looking for alternatives, I recommend the Aqua Computer Quadro and Octo. Corsair has new models too, and NZXT has some options, although I think Asus's model is discontinued.
