I'm having a major issue with my work computer. Yesterday, I found that I could only open Google Chrome, while every other app like Outlook, Teams, Settings, Calculator, and File Manager are completely unresponsive. Our IT team says this problem is related to a Microsoft update, but I can't find any information online about others experiencing similar issues. Since we all work remotely, I'm pretty sure it's not a network problem. Could there be something else going on here or is this just a bad update?

If your IT team is blaming the Windows update without looking deeper, that might be a bit lazy on their part. Try asking them about rolling back the update. If it is indeed the update causing the issue, they should be able to help you restore it. I've updated my systems without any problem, so this seems unusual.

That makes sense! But how do I roll back the update if I can’t access the settings?
