Received a Scary Email, Should I Just Ignore It?

I recently got this email that said I have malware on my devices and that someone has been watching me through my camera and microphone. It's super alarming, especially since they're using my personal email address. I'm really worried if this is serious or just a typical scam. How should I handle this? Should I just ignore it? Any advice would be appreciated!

Sounds like a pretty common scam to me. They fake the email header to make it look like it’s from you, but they haven't actually hacked anything. If they really had something on you, they wouldn’t be emailing you, right? Just don’t stress about it; they’re just trying to scare you into paying them something.

Yeah, this is a classic phishing attempt. A quick Google search confirms it's common. Just trash the email and don’t reply. It’s good to have your guard up, but there’s no need to panic!

Totally scammy! Just ignore it and move on. If you feel like it, you can use temporary email services for sketchy stuff in the future.

Definitely a scam! These emails rely on fear, hoping you’ll panic and respond. Just ignore it. If you’re really worried, you might want to run a malware scan, but from what you shared, it looks like it's nothing to worry about.
