I've got a 25-inch monitor but I'm looking to make it display content as if it were a smaller 17-inch screen. I'd be fine with having black borders on the sides. Basically, I want to shrink the image down. I'm using Windows 11 with an AMD graphics setup. Can anyone guide me on how to achieve this?

What’s the main reason you want to do this? If you’re looking for a different viewing experience or something specific, knowing that could help. Typically, desktop PCs don’t easily allow for non-stretched resolutions like laptops do, unless adjusted in BIOS settings or through certain GPU drivers. But, not all desktop monitors support this either!
To adjust the display size, check your AMD graphics settings. You can try enabling GPU scaling and setting it to ‘Center’ or ‘Integer Scaling’ to get the smaller image. Also, you may want to lower your resolution below the native setting of your 25-inch monitor for the best effect. This should leave you with the black borders you want!

I'm mainly trying to get a better view when watching videos. I think seeing it on a smaller display would work better for me.
