How Can I Check for Malware on My Router?

I've been having some issues with my internet lately. A few websites are returning error 403, I can't send messages on Snapchat, and generally, the internet is slower than usual. I've already checked to ensure that there's nothing enabled on my devices regarding VPN and proxy settings. The problems are happening on every device I have. Is this a sign that my router might have malware?

That's a solid point! If you're having trouble with your ISP, you might as well ask them to change your IP directly. If they question you about it, just mention that your workplace has blacklisted your current IP address, and they should be able to assist you.

It sounds like the problems you're experiencing might actually be linked to your ISP assigning you a blacklisted IP address rather than malware. You could try forcing your router to get a new IP, but that can depend on the model. Sometimes you might need to just leave your router off overnight to get a different one. You might also want to try a factory reset on your router. While routers can get malware, it's pretty rare these days, but doing a factory reset and updating to the latest firmware can help to ensure it's clean.
