I'm planning to upgrade my gaming setup and have a budget of $1,000. Currently, I have the following components:

- Ryzen 5 3600
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6GB
- 16GB DDR4 3200
- 500GB SATA SSD

What are some good upgrade options or build ideas that can give me better performance without breaking the bank?

If you've got $1,000 to spend on upgrades, I recommend going for a Ryzen 7 5800X, an RX 9070 for the graphics card, and bumping up to 32GB of RAM along with a newer SSD. If the 9070 is too pricey, the RX 6600 would still be a solid choice and might help keep you within budget.

I had a similar setup and ended up with a Ryzen 7 5800XT and an RX 7900XTX, which made a huge difference for 1440p gaming. Just make sure your power supply can handle the new GPU, though!

Honestly, your current build is decent for light 1080p gaming, but it's showing its age. Consider switching to a Ryzen 5 5600X and either an RX 9060 XT or an RTX 5060. For storage, a 500GB to 1TB NVMe SSD would give you fast load times. If you can stretch your budget a bit, go for 32GB of RAM at 3600MT/s for better multitasking.

A straightforward upgrade can be to grab an RX 6700XT or a 3060 Ti for around €200 used. Just swap out the GTX 1660 and make sure to update your BIOS to enable Resizable BAR. You could also consider adding another 16GB of DDR4 RAM and an NVMe SSD for your operating system.
