I've got an IDEAPAD Slim 1 running Windows 11 that I recently factory reset. Before the reset, I was having trouble removing a program called LightSpeed that my school had on the laptop. I was told by tech staff that it would uninstall itself once I disconnected my school email, but that didn't happen. So, I decided to go for a full factory reset since I didn't need any of the files anymore.
During the setup post-reset, I was only allowed to use a work or school email to connect, which was frustrating. I ended up creating a local account to bypass that. Now that I'm set up, I can connect to the internet, but both Edge and Chrome keep giving me the "ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED" error. I've tried some tutorials to fix this but nothing has worked so far. I've checked my VPN settings, proxy settings, and even manual IP configurations (IPv4 and IPv6), but I'm still stuck. This is really getting on my nerves! Any help would be appreciated!

It sounds like this might be related to account management on your school's end. Sometimes, devices like yours are set up to authenticate against the school’s network and if it's still linked to their system, it could cause these issues. Have you been able to access the BIOS? If so, check if there are any network settings that could help you troubleshoot this further.
Just to confirm, when you were trying to remove the LightSpeed software, did you check if it left any hidden files or services running? A fresh reinstall of Windows could be a solution if all else fails.
Given your situation, I’d recommend reaching out to the school's IT support. They might have specific protocols for devices that were previously connected to their network. Also, they should be able to confirm if your laptop is still associated with their systems.
