How can I identify Microsoft Authenticator users with older mobile operating systems?

I'm looking for a way to check the Microsoft Authenticator users in our organization who are currently running older mobile operating systems. The requirements for using passkeys state that you need to have iOS 17 or higher or Android 14 or higher. Additionally, there's a suggestion to upgrade to Android 15 if you encounter issues enrolling passkeys with Android 14. Is there any report in the Entra portal that can list existing users of the Microsoft Authenticator app who are using password MFA, including the version of their OS? This would help us figure out how many users are on versions that are compatible or not with passkeys.

You might want to check under conditional access options. Just a heads up, though: BYOD devices may not report the full OS version—just the general type like iOS or Android.

Honestly, it would be great if something could pop up saying "hey, time for an upgrade!" instead of just showing a blank screen with some vague error. Guess we can only wish for better messages!

Are you asking about users that are already enrolled? I'm curious if they're all using unmanaged BYOD devices or something. That could affect what info you can pull.

Yeah, most of them are unmanaged BYOD. A few users who also use their devices for work email and Teams are enrolled under MAM.
