I'm having trouble with the BIOS password on my Acer TravelMate P414-53-TCO. I can't remember it, and after entering the wrong password three times, my laptop is asking for an electronic key (I need a USB FAT/FAT32 dongle). Acer has switched the BIOS protection to this electronic key method and I can't find the code I need to unlock it. Does anyone know how I can reset this password?

Unfortunately, newer laptops like yours have much stricter BIOS security measures for a reason. Resetting the BIOS password can be quite difficult and in many cases may not be possible without the proper tools or access to specific codes. Your best bet would be to contact Acer support for assistance or check if they have a procedure in place for your model.
Honestly, I think passwords and encryption can be more trouble than they're worth. If you can't recover the password easily, it might be worth considering whether the data inside is really worth the hassle. Sometimes starting fresh is less of a headache.
