Why Am I Getting ‘Internet Access is Blocked’ on My Windows 11 PC?

I've been using a Windows 11 desktop with an Ethernet connection, and suddenly I started seeing the message 'Your Internet Access is Blocked' (ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED). This problem isn't limited to Chrome, as I can't connect to the internet on any browser or apps that rely on it. I've restarted my computer multiple times and even tried disabling 'automatically detect settings' in the network settings, but nothing seems to help. The network troubleshooter indicates that my connectivity is fine, and I'm on my home network where all other devices are working properly. Does anyone have suggestions for fixing this?

It's worth checking if it happens on all websites, like Google or Cloudflare. If so, that usually points to a local block from the router itself. You could also try running 'ipconfig /all' from the command prompt to see if anything stands out.

Good idea! I'll try that and see what it says.

Sometimes a VPN can cause access issues, but if you don't have one installed, it might be something else. Have you checked to see if your router is misconfigured? If you're not in control of the router, that could potentially be the issue as well.

I don't control the router, but I'm the only one home right now. Could something have changed on its own?

Sometimes security programs or firewall settings can trigger these kinds of issues. Make sure there are no settings blocking the connection, and maybe try disabling any security software for a moment to test if that changes anything.
