Is it worth upgrading from a 4060 Ti to a 5070 Ti?

I'm currently using a 4060 Ti 8GB with an i7-13700F and haven't faced any issues, but I'm a bit anxious about GPU prices going up after the recent Nvidia GPU production cuts. I found a 5070 Ti at a nearby Micro Center for $750, and I estimate I can sell my 4060 Ti for around $180. I want to know if the 5070 Ti is a good upgrade at that price. Also, are there other GPUs I should consider, like the 5080 or RX 9070? For context, I play at 1440p and I'm not interested in 4K gaming. Thanks in advance!

The 5080 is overpriced for most gamers, and you can skip it. The RX 9070 XT has its pros but lacks some features compared to the 5070 Ti. Overall, the 5070 Ti is definitely a worthwhile upgrade from the 4060 Ti. Just go for it and enjoy the improved performance!

The real benefits of the 5070 Ti come into play at higher resolutions. It handles 1440p ultra settings like a champ or even gives playable frames at 4K, thanks to NVIDIA's optimizations.

I went from a 4060 Ti 16GB to a 5070 Ti and I absolutely love it! The performance boost is real, especially in demanding games.

The 5070 Ti is a solid choice! It's a significant upgrade from the 4060 Ti, especially with the extra VRAM, which is becoming increasingly important. If you had the 16GB version of the 4060 Ti, the upgrade might not be as urgent, but the performance difference is still noticeable. The RX 9070 XT is also worth considering if you can get it for around MSRP, as it performs similarly for about $150 less. Plus, check out Micro Center's GPU trade-in program to save some hassle when selling your current card.
