I recently upgraded to a new CPU, and I've been facing an issue where my PC shuts off every time I start a game. Initially, I thought it was a problem with my power supply, so I replaced it with a 750-watt unit. Unfortunately, the problem persists, and I'm at a loss for what could be causing it.
Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT
- GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti
- RAM: 16GB DDR4
- Motherboard: A320M-HDV R4.0

It sounds like your motherboard might not be equipped to handle the Ryzen 7 5800XT. Even if it's technically compatible, the A320M boards often have minimal VRM (Voltage Regulator Modules), so your CPU might be too demanding for it. Upgrading to a better motherboard could solve the issue.
Have you checked the temperatures? Overheating can cause shutdowns, even if your CPU and GPU temps seem fine. I found that when I added a fan blowing into my case, the crashes mostly stopped.
You might want to try running Memtest to check your RAM, and then do a CPU stress test. If those tests come back fine, consider doing a full driver reinstall for your GPU using DDU. I've had a similar issue before where my CPU started rebooting in games and eventually it failed completely.

My friend thinks it's not the motherboard since it's compatible with the CPU. But can a motherboard be compatible yet still not provide enough power?
