Hey everyone! I'm a teen and really excited to build my first PC. My parents are supportive, but we haven't locked in a budget yet. I mainly play FFXIV, so I'm not looking for something extravagant. I'm also passionate about researching and building things myself. What budget would be reasonable for a gaming PC like this, and are there any tips or things I should consider as a beginner?

You can definitely set a budget around 1000 euros for a decent new PC setup. If you don’t have peripherals like a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, keep that in mind too! If you’re open to used parts, you could get a solid build for about 850 euros, which might even outperform a new one. Don’t forget to invest in a good monitor—aim for at least 1440p and 144Hz for a smooth gaming experience!

I’d recommend starting on the lower end, maybe around 700-800 USD if you're buying used parts. The great thing is, as people upgrade, the prices for last year's components drop, making it easier to save for future upgrades.

I’d say your budget could range from 700 to 1500 USD depending on whether you get used parts or want the latest gear. If you're lucky, you might find amazing deals that let you run games at max settings!

Why isn’t your dad just building a PC for you?

My dad is actually going to help me through the process! I just want to do some research and have a budget in mind before we start.
