Will RAM Prices Drop in January or February?

I'm curious about the potential for RAM prices to drop in January or February. I know it's difficult to predict, but I'm looking for logical insights rather than guesswork. With the basics of supply and demand in mind, is there any chance we might see an increase in RAM supply in the next few months? If not, would any announcements or events hinting at future supply increases lead to a price drop? I'm focusing solely on possible price decreases in the near term, not the levels we might expect in 2024.

It's not really likely. Typically, these price trends hold steady for about six months. With Micron and Crucial pulling back from the market, the situation could actually worsen in that timeframe, especially for DDR5.

Doubtful! We’re seeing manufacturers exit the consumer RAM market, which isn’t a good sign for prices. This issue might even start driving up the costs of other hardware, like SSDs too.

Totally agree! Plus, Nvidia's telling AIB partners to renegotiate their own memory deals, which could send VRAM prices soaring. This means prices for graphics cards might skyrocket in the near future.
