Is it a good time to build a PC right now?

I've just started getting into the idea of building my own PC, but I've heard that RAM prices have more than doubled recently. I'm wondering if I should hold off on my plans and wait for those prices to drop again, or is this just the beginning of a trend toward even higher prices? What do you all think? Should I build now, or wait?

Yes, prices have risen quite a bit, but I wouldn’t panic buy just yet. If you're flexible with a budget, I suggest looking for alternatives like used components or waiting for sales, especially after the holidays when things might come down a bit.

From what I see, RAM pricing is not likely to improve anytime soon due to high demand from AI and gaming. If you're starting from scratch, consider looking for used parts or even prebuilt options for now. Prices might get worse, so don't wait too long!

It's tough to say exactly when prices will drop, but many suggest that with the current state of the market, you might only see steady increases for some time. If you really want a new PC, shop smart and consider building with older tech until RAM prices stabilize.

I think waiting could be a good idea. Prices have gone up significantly, especially with RAM and SSDs. If you don't need a new build immediately, I'd suggest holding off a few months. However, if your current setup is unusable, maybe just go for a prebuilt to get you by until things settle.

Honestly, it's a bad time to build a PC right now. RAM prices are sky-high, and it looks like they might not drop anytime soon. If you can wait a bit longer, it might be worth it because prices seem to be rising overall. But if your current PC is on its last legs, you might have to bite the bullet and build anyway.
