I flashed a Windows Embedded image onto my hard drive and installed it in my Dell Studio XPS 1647. Initially, it booted, but I received a prompt to run chkdisk due to a missing file. After I clicked okay, the screen went blank for a bit until it asked me to restart to apply changes. Upon restarting, all I see is a glitchy line across the top of my screen, and nothing else appears. What should I do?

It sounds like there might be significant hardware differences between your Dell and the device you used to create the image. The glitchy line could indicate an issue with your GPU drivers, but it might be related to other components too, like the chipset or USB drivers. Try forcefully powering off the laptop for about a minute and then see if you can access the BIOS. If the display there is also glitchy, it may be a hardware problem unrelated to the Windows installation.
Did you image the HDD on a different computer? Just curious about which tool you used—was it WinNTSetup? It might be that you need to include your video drivers during the imaging process. Sometimes they need to be integrated to avoid these boot issues.
