I'm considering making the switch from Windows to Linux, specifically Bazzite, but I have a few questions before I dive in. First, is a SATA SSD sufficient, or do I need an M.2 drive? Secondly, I have a couple of extra HDDs with files I need access to; will those work with Linux, or are the file extensions different? Is it worth moving to Linux overall? Also, how difficult is installation and tweaking the system? Lastly, I'd appreciate any tips you might have!

1. Yeah, a SATA SSD works just fine. I've been using one without issues.
2. Generally speaking, files like PNGs, JPGs/JPEGs, GIFs, and regular text files (.txt) should work seamlessly on Linux. The compatibility mainly depends on the applications you use, not the files themselves. Just keep in mind that Windows and Linux organize files differently, so you might have some formatting considerations down the line.
3. It depends on what you need! If you’re looking for a fresh start without the bloatware and ads, it's definitely worth it. Performance-wise, Linux can be a lot faster than Windows on most systems.
4. Installing is pretty straightforward with Bazzite—definitely easier than Windows! Just be ready to learn a few new things for tweaks.
5. Embrace the command line! It’s not as scary as it sounds and can make certain tasks way easier. And don’t worry, most things can still be done graphically.

Thanks for the info! I’ve mostly been using just basic file types, so that’s a relief. I’m looking forward to exploring Linux.
