I've recently started using hibernation mode on my laptop, which I had to enable through a console command since it wasn't initially available in my power settings. However, now I find that Windows 11 requires me to enter a password every time I wake it up from hibernation. Interestingly, I don't need a password after turning on the laptop or waking it from sleep. I've checked Netplwiz settings, and I have it configured not to require a password for my account. Is there any way to change this so I don't have to input a password after hibernation? I'm running Windows 11 25H2 with the latest updates.

You can actually turn off that password requirement in the Settings. Go to Accounts, then Sign-in options, and look for 'Require sign-in' when waking up. You might find an option to change that to 'Never.' Give that a shot!
But seriously, is typing a password every once in a while such a hassle? If you really don't want it at all, why not just remove the password? Windows doesn't force you to have one, you know!

I thought if I remove the password, I would still need a PIN for logins, and that can be annoying too. Plus, Netplwiz might not work without a password, right?
