Hey everyone! I'm not usually active in online forums, but I'm facing a real issue and could use some help. I recently replaced my old power supply unit (PSU) because it was causing crashes, but now my PC won't turn on at all. The GPU indicator light is on, but the motherboard, RGB lighting, and CPU fan aren't responding. I'm not sure if the CPU is functioning either because my monitor isn't showing anything. Just to give some background, this PC was originally a prebuilt from Lyte, and I added an RTX 2060 to it later. The new PSU I installed is a Thermaltake Toughpower 600 Watt Gold. I'd appreciate any guidance—I'm pretty new to this kind of repair!

It sounds like you're in a bit of a bind. Since the PSU replacement, it's crucial to ensure everything is connected correctly. First off, look at your power cables—make sure the 24-pin cable to the motherboard and the CPU power cable at the top are securely plugged in. Those can sometimes get overlooked during a PSU swap. You should also only use the cables that came with your new PSU. If you haven't already, try clearing the CMOS by unplugging the computer and removing the battery for a few minutes. If that doesn't work, try booting with just the essentials: the CPU, one RAM stick, and your GPU. Also, double-check the wiring for the front panel power button. If the issue persists, it’s possible the new PSU could be faulty. Good luck!
I get how frustrating this can be! Since the GPU light is on but nothing else is working, it likely means the system isn’t starting up properly. Make sure that all cables are connected and, during your PSU swap, the CPU power cable is often the one that gets missed. Clear the CMOS again by leaving the battery out a bit longer—maybe try 5 to 10 minutes this time. If you’re still having issues, consider booting the system with just the CPU, one RAM stick, and the GPU to see if that gets you any response. If there’s no change, there's a chance the new PSU might not be working as expected.
