I'm looking to build a computer using some used parts my friend is selling for $220. He upgraded his PC and is getting rid of these components: an ASUS TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING motherboard, an Intel Core i7-9700K processor, and a G.SKILL 16 GB (1x16 GB) 3000 MHz CL16 Aegis RAM stick. I'm not aiming for a high-end system, just something that can handle work tasks like 2D AutoCAD and a few games, specifically Counter-Strike and Dota 2. Do you think $220 is a fair price, and will I be able to find the additional parts I need to complete the build?

That doesn't sound like a bad deal! The i7-9700K is still a solid processor, and paired with that motherboard and RAM, you should be able to run those programs fine. Just make sure you check the prices for the remaining parts you need. What’s your budget for those?

I'm not sure, but I'd like to keep it under $1,000. If I need to spend more for better quality, I'm open to that, as long as it ensures stability. My laptop's on its last legs, and I really need a reliable backup.
