I was working on my Lenovo laptop when it suddenly shut down, and now it's unresponsive. I thought it still had 87% battery left. The power button does nothing, and when I connect a USB-C charger, the charging light briefly flashes white. I've also tried connecting another device to the USB-C port, but it only charges in short bursts if I hold down the power button. The laptop feels warm even after hours of being off. I've taken off the back panel and tried reseating the battery connection, but that didn't help either. If it's a work laptop, just send a request to your IT department for a fix. They can help you recover data, especially since they usually have the necessary access and tools for these situations.
From what you've described, it doesn’t sound completely dead. The flashing charge LED indicates it might be stuck in a power protection mode. Try doing a complete power drain and see if that resolves it. But don’t keep switching the charger in and out—that can cause more issues.
What model is your Lenovo? It might have a reset pinhole for cases like this, which could help reset the power controller. If it boots after a while, definitely back up your files ASAP!

Try this: hold down the power button for a solid 90 seconds, then just leave it for a couple of minutes without doing anything. After that, try turning it on again. This fix has worked for many people in my office when the laptops get stuck.
I've seen this too with my ThinkPads! I usually hold the power button for 20 seconds, wait 5-6 seconds, and then turn it back on. Works every time for me!

Sounds like your laptop might have overheated. Try powering it down completely: unplug everything, remove the battery, and hold down the power button for about 30 seconds.
